OPERAS | “Spotlight on National Nodes”: OPERAS-FR (France)
« OPERAS-FR (the OPERAS National Node in France) has officially been active since March 2024, supporting the development of open scholarly communication in the humanities and social sciences within the French community. The node is represented by OpenEdition, a France-based research infrastructure dedicated to open scholarly publishing, providing platforms for open-access books, journals, academic blogs, and scientific events. However, the OPERAS core member in France is the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), the country’s largest public research institution, which also plays a key role in shaping the national node’s strategic direction.
