Being indexed in DOAJ is an internationally recognised hallmark of quality. To be indexed, journals must meet or prove that they partake in a series of standards common to the scholarly publishing industry. These are standards that DOAJ chose because we believe that adherence to them improves transparency and credibility. This course has been created by the DOAJ Team itself to assist publishers, librarians, researchers and authors understand those standards and what an entry in DOAJ means.
