UK Data Service Portal is 500th eResource in eDesiderata
« CRL’s eDesiderata platform recently surpassed 500 electronic resource entries, all accessible to members to support informed decisions on electronic resources.
eDesiderata is CRL’s online platform and interactive space for aggregating information and member expertise on databases and e-resources of interest to CRL libraries. Launched in 2013, eDesiderata tracks the status of e-resources under consideration for member licensing and provides the opportunity for community input on content, quality, and terms of purchase or subscription.
The platform now provides critical content and licensing information on more than 500 open and commercial electronic resources, including the recently-added UK Data Service, an online portal that provides its users access to open and licensed data including UK government-sponsored surveys, longitudinal studies, UK census data, and international macrodata for social and economic research.
