The tension between TDM and data protection
« The BYTE project researched the positive and negative societal impacts associated with big data. As part of this research it considered how big data affects privacy and how data protection law affects big data practices. The results of this research can also be applied more specifically to text and data mining (TDM), as big data is an umbrella term covering a range of technologies like cloud computing and TDM.
