Global visibility of publications through Digital Object Identifiers
« The availability of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) is of global relevance in publishing. Nevertheless, DOIs are not assigned to every publication, which limits the visibility of this subset in scholarly publishing. DOIs are a type of unique and global identifiers for digital objects, such as publications (Carter-Templeton et al., 2021).
